George was born on March 15th, 1795 in Markinch, Fife, Scotland. George's father was George Low and his mother was Christian Russell. His paternal grandparents were Thomas Low and Margaret Bouer; his maternal grandparents were John Russell and Catherine Dryburgh . He had three brothers and five sisters, named Thomas, George, Robert, Margaret, Agnes, Magdalene, Christian and Margaret. He had two half-brothers and three half-sisters, named Andrew, George, Helen, Mary and Janet. He died at the age of 1 in 1796 in Markinch, Fife, Scotland.-
