Colin Lindsay (3rd Earl of Balcarres) 
Colin was born on August 23rd, 1652 in Kilconquhar, Fifeshire, Scotland and his baptism took place there on August 23rd, 1652. Colin's father was Alexander Lindsay (1st Earl of Balcarres ) and his mother was Lady Anne MacKenzie. His paternal grandparents were Sir David Lindsay (1st Lord of Balcarres) and Lady Sophia Seton; his maternal grandparents were Colin MacKenzie (1st Earl of Seaforth) and Lady Margaret Seton. He had a brother and three sisters, named Charles, Henrietta , Anne and Sophia . He was the second oldest of the five children. He died at the age of 70 in 1722 in Balcarres, Fife, Scotland. He was buried in Chapel, Balcarres, Fife, Scotland.-
