Alexander Lindsay (1st Earl of Balcarres ) 
Alexander was born on July 6th, 1618. Alexander's father was Sir David Lindsay (1st Lord of Balcarres) and his mother was Lady Sophia Seton. His paternal grandparents were John Lindsay (of Balcarres, Lord Menmuir) and Marion Guthrie; his maternal grandparents were Alexander Seton (1st Earl of Dunfermline) and Lilias Drummond. He was an only child. He died at the age of 41 on August 30th, 1659 in Breda, Noord Brabant, Nederland. He was buried on June 12th, 1660 in Balcarres, Fife, Scotland.Death Notes
