John Lees 
John was born in 1702 in Elginhaugh, Lasswade, Midlothian, Scotland and his baptism took place there on November 4th, 1702. John's father was John Lees and his mother was Isabell Barrowman. His maternal grandparents were John Barrowman and Janet Gray. He had four brothers and three sisters, named James, William, William, George, Janet, Isobel and Helen. He was the fourth oldest of the eight children.-
