John Cookson 
John was born on June 24th, 1708 in Crewkerne, Somerset and his baptism took place there on July 6th, 1708. John's father was John Cookson and his mother was Dorothy Long. His paternal grandparents were William Cookson and Elizabeth Whitfield. He had five brothers and four sisters, named Unknown, William, Thomas, Joseph, Edward, Edith, Elizabeth, Anne and Dorothy. He was the fifth youngest of the ten children.-
