Mary Knowles

Mary was born in 1817 in Co Durham.¹   Mary's father was Archibald Knowles and her mother was Ann Hope. She had five brothers and four sisters, named Archibald, Peter, Robert, William, Thomas, Barbara, Jane, Margaret and Ann.  She was the third oldest of the ten children.
