Archibald Knowles 
Archibald was born in 1815 in Co Durham.1 Archibald's father was Archibald Knowles and his mother was Ann Hope. He had four brothers and five sisters, named Peter, Robert, William, Thomas, Barbara, Mary, Jane, Margaret and Ann. He was the second oldest of the ten children.-
