Elizabeth Jane Harper

Elizabeth was born in 1887 in Leamside, Co Durham.¹ Elizabeth's father was Ezekiel Harper and her mother was Mary Knowles. Her paternal grandparents were James Henry Harper and Elizabeth Haywood; her maternal grandparents were Robert Knowles and Jane Pickering. She had five brothers and eight sisters, named James, Robert, William, John, Joseph, Barbara, Mary, Margaret, Alice, Sarah, Emma, Annie and Alice. She was the second oldest of the fourteen children. She died at the age of 60 in 1947 in Blackpool, Lancashire.²
