Sarah Booth

Sarah was born in 1820 in Leeds, Yorkshire and her christening took place on July 9th, 1820 at St Peters Parish Church, Leeds, Yorkshire.¹   Sarah's father was Joseph Booth and her mother was Elizabeth Hargrave. She had a brother and six sisters, named James, Ann, Harriet, Elizabeth, Martha, Eliza and Mary.  She was the oldest of the eight children.
