Thomas was born in 1867 in Newport Pagnall, Buckinghamshire. Thomas' father was Thomas MOSELEY and his mother was Hannah BRITTEN. He had six brothers and five sisters, named William, Walter, Arthur, John, Sidney, Joe, Elizabeth, Ellen, Ada, Jessie and Minnie.  He was the oldest of the twelve children.  He died at the age of 34 in 1901 in Newport Pagnall, Buckinghamshire.
