Thomas was born in 1314.  Thomas' father was Robert de Holland and his mother was Maud De La Zouche.  His paternal grandparents were Sir Robert de Holland and Elizabeth de Samlesbury. He had four brothers and eight sisters, named Robert, Otho, John, Alan, Joane, Margery, Maud, Elizabeth, Margaret, Jane, Eleanor and Elizabeth.  He was the fourth oldest of the thirteen children.  He died at the age of 46 on December 26th, 1360.
