Solomon was born about 1765 in Pee Dee River, Craven County, South Carolina.

- SOLOMON4 COLE (JAMES JR3, JAMES SR2, STEPHEN SR1) was born Abt. 1765 in Pee Dee River, Craven County, South Carolina, and died Abt. 1825 in Prairie Soileau, St. Landry Parish, Louisiana. He married ELIZABETH DAVIS Abt. 1792 in Natchez District, Mississippi.

Solomon's father was James Cole Jr and his mother was Mary Rentfroe. His paternal grandfather was James Cole Sr and his paternal grandmother is J. (Cole); his maternal grandparents were James Rentfroe and Ester Van Bibber. He had five brothers and three sisters, named John, Stephen, James, Mark, William, Mary, Sarah and Susanna. He was the fourth oldest of the nine children. He died about 1825 in Beaver Creek, Prairie Soileau, St. Landry Parish, LA.
