Evelyn (Emilia) was born on January 5th, 1909 in Paterson, New Jersey.  Evelyn (Emilia)'s father was John Henry Cherry and her mother was Amelia (Emily)(Amilia)(Amalie) (Mila) Wilhemina Grossbeck (Grosbeck).  Her paternal grandparents were George Cherry and Johanna Mary Rogers (Bloom); her maternal grandparents were Franz A Grosspietsch (Grossbeck) and Amelia Pauline  Wiesner. She had a brother and four sisters, named John, Lillian, Hasel, Florence and Beatrice (Beatricke).  She was the youngest of the six children.  She died at the age of 77 in December 1986.1
