Adolph was born on January 25th, 1872 in Sogndalstrand, Sokndal, Rogaland,  Norway.1  Adolph's father was Andreas Andreassen Brandsberg (Stranden) and his mother was Rakel Gunnarsdtr  Lauland.  His paternal grandparents were Andreas Kjetilsen Brandsberg (Bakke) and Anne Marie (Maria) Tollaksen Egeli; his maternal grandparents were Gunnar F. Gunnarsen  and Anne Elisabet Salvesdtr Barstad. He had three sisters named Ane Elise, Anne Marie and Rense Alvilde  Marie . He had a half-sister named Selma.  He died at the age of 85 on January 25th, 1957 in Brandsberg, Sogndal, Norway.  He was buried in Sokndal Kirke, Sokndal, Norway.2 2
