Moved from Bakke and bought Brandsberg farm from the church, which at that time was owner of most of the land in Sogndal. The Brandsberg Farm was divided into two almost equal parts and his sons Tonnes and Andreas Brandsberg each inherited a part of the farm.
Kjeld's son Andreas git the part which Sigbjorn Brandsberg still works.
