Patrick Hardie (Peter)

Patrick was born on January 3rd, 1807 in Ruthven, Angus, Scotland and his baptism took place there on January 5th, 1807.  Patrick's father was James Hardie and his mother was Christian Thomson.  His maternal grandparents were James Thomson and Kathryn Gibson. He had four brothers and four sisters, named James, William, Andrew, John, Isabella, Margaret , Helen and Jean.  He was the second oldest of the nine children.  He died at the age of 71 in 1878.
