Evan Bruce Hardie 
Evan was born on December 28th, 1836 in Friockheim, Angus, Scotland and his baptism took place on January 29th, 1837 in Kirkden, Angus, Scotland. Evan's father was William Hardie and his mother was Elizabeth Allardice. His paternal grandparents were James Hardie and Christian Thomson; his maternal grandparents were Alexander Allardice and Jean Whanell. He had five brothers and three sisters, named William, Alexander , George, Leonard, Jonathon, Betsy, Agnes and Eliza. He was the second oldest of the nine children. He died at the age of 34 in December 1870 in Bolton, England. He was buried on January 1st, 1871 in Tonge, Bolton, Lancashire.1 2 -
