Margaret Gillies

Margaret was born in 1812 in 4 Old South Dell, Barvas, Ross-shire, Scotland.  Margaret's father was Alexander Gillies and her mother was Margaret MacDonald.  Her maternal grandparents were John MacDonald and Margaret MacDonald. She had two brothers and two sisters, named Angus, John, Ann and Flora.  She was the second oldest of the five children. She had a half-brother and a half-sister, named Donald and Catherine.  She died at the age of 85 on April 10th, 1897 in Lionel, Barvas, Ross-shire, Scotland.¹
