Angus Gillies

Angus was born in 1815 in 4 Old South Dell, Barvas, Ross-shire, Scotland.  Angus' father was Alexander Gillies and his mother was Margaret MacDonald.  His maternal grandparents were John MacDonald and Margaret MacDonald. He had a brother and three sisters, named John, Ann, Margaret and Flora.  He was the third oldest of the five children. He had a half-brother and a half-sister, named Donald and Catherine.  He died at the age of 86 in 1901.
