William Robert Blane 
William was born on December 25th, 1872 in Hokitika, Westland, NZ.1 William's father was William Robert Blane and his mother was Honorah Foley. His paternal grandparents were William Blane and Elizabeth Cooke; his maternal grandparents were James Foley and Catherine (Kate) Lyston. He had three brothers and four sisters, named George, James, Arthur, Elizabeth, Mary, Josephine and Catherine. He was the second oldest of the eight children. He died at the age of 8 on July 19th, 1881 in Hokitika, Westland, NZ. He was buried on July 26th, 1881 in Ross, Westland, NZ.2 2 -
