James Patrick Blane

James was born on December 30th, 1880 in Ross, Westland, NZ. James' father was William Robert Blane and his mother was Honorah Foley. His paternal grandparents were William Blane and Elizabeth Cooke; his maternal grandparents were James Foley and Catherine (Kate) Lyston. He had three brothers and four sisters, named William, George, Arthur, Elizabeth, Mary, Josephine and Catherine. He was the third youngest of the eight children. He died due to a medical problem, Cerebral Thrombosis, at the age of 60 on July 29th, 1941 in Gisborne, NZ. He was buried on July 30th, 1941 in Taruheru Cemetery, Gisborne.
