Joan de Ferrers

Joan was born in 1248 in Derbyshire, England.¹ Joan's father was William de Ferrers and her mother was Margaret de Quincy. Her paternal grandparents were William de Ferrers II and Agnes de Meschines; her maternal grandparents were Roger de Quincy and Helen MacDonald of Galloway. She had two brothers and a sister, named Robert, William and Elizabeth. She was the youngest of the four children. She had seven half-sisters named Joan, Sibyl, Isabel, Agnes, Maud, Joan and Agatha.
