Maud De Caen (Matilda FitzRobert) 
Maud was born in 1120 in Briston, Gloucestershire, England.1 Maud's father was 1st Earl of Gloucester Robert (The Consul) of Caen and her mother was Mabel (Maud) Fitzhammon. Her paternal grandparents were King Henry (Beauclerc) England I and Nest verch Deheubarth Rhys Heiress of Carew, Tywysoges Deheubarth; her maternal grandparents were Robert Lord of Tewksbury Fitzhammon and Sybil Matilda De Montgomery. She had two brothers and two sisters, named William, Philip, Christiana and Mabira. She was the second youngest of the five children. She had a half-sister named Mabel. She died at the age of 69 on July 29th, 1189 in Chester, England.2 -
