Bertrade D'evreux De Montfort (Gertrude de Montfort) 
Bertrade was born in 1155 in Chester, England.1 Bertrade's father was Simon De Montfort III and her mother was Countess Maud d'Evereux. Her paternal grandparents were Amaury de Montford III and Agnes de Garlande; her maternal grandparents were Sheriff of Salisbury, Earl of Salisbury Edward d'Everaux and Maud FitzHubert. She had four brothers and a sister, named Thurston, Amaury, Simon, Guy and Matilda. She was the second youngest of the six children. She had a half-brother and a half-sister, named Hugo and Amice. She died at the age of 34 on July 12th, 1189 in Evreux, Eure, France.2 General Notes

He [Hugh of Kevelioc" married, in 1169, Bertrade, then aged 14 (the King giving her away in marriage "because she was his own cousin "), daughter of Simon de Montfort, Count D'EVREUX by his 1st wife, Maud. He died at Leek, co. Stafford, 30 June 1181, aged about 34 and was buried at St. Werburg's, Chester. His widow died 1227, aged about 7I.
