George David Whitfield 
George David was born on February 22nd, 1898 in Person Co, NC and his baptism took place in Census 1920. George David's father was James William Whitfield and his mother was Katherine Lewis Hicks. His maternal grandparents were David Alfred Hicks and Sarah Ann Rhew. He had three brothers and three sisters, named James W., Jasper Lorenzel, William Dolphin, Sarah A., Macy B. and Fannie S.. He was the oldest of the seven children. He died at the age of 68 on December 12th, 1966 in Roxboro, Person Co, NC. He was buried in Brown - Hicks Cemetery, Roxboro, Person Co, NC.General Notes
