Katherine Lewis was born on August 7th, 1870 in Person Co, NC and her baptism took place in Census 1930. Katherine Lewis' father was David Alfred Hicks and her mother was Sarah Ann Rhew. Her maternal grandparents were John Ruffin Rhew and Susan Roberts. She had two brothers and a sister, named William Archie, David Samuel and Sarah Frances. She was the second oldest of the four children. She had two half-brothers and two half-sisters, named Judson 'Jordan' T., James Ruffin, Mary Elizabeth 'Mollie Bet' and Susan Margaret. She was buried in Brown - Hicks Cemetery, Roxboro, Person Co, NC.General Notes
