Effie Belle was born on December 9th, 1877 in Marysville, Marshall County, Kansas, USA.1 Effie Belle's father was Reuben Richard Shipley and her mother was Mary Ellen Clapp. Her paternal grandparents were Richard Shipley and Julinda Windom. She had four brothers and four sisters, named Edward Lester, John Richard, George Vernon, Earle V., Minnie May, Jessie Edith, Laura Alice and Pearle V.. She was the third oldest of the nine children. She died at the age of 91 on February 20th, 1969 in Crab Orchard, Johnson County, Nebraska, USA.-
