Earle V. was born on May 15th, 1888 in Marysville, Marshall County, Kansas, USA.1 Earle V.'s father was Reuben Richard Shipley and his mother was Mary Ellen Clapp. His paternal grandparents were Richard Shipley and Julinda Windom. He had three brothers and five sisters, named Edward Lester, John Richard, George Vernon, Minnie May, Effie Belle, Jessie Edith, Laura Alice and Pearle V.. He was the youngest of the nine children.-
