William Allen Roberts 
William Allen was born on December 30th, 1849 in Rockingham Co, NC.1 William Allen's father was Thomas Jefferson Roberts and his mother was Arrena Wortha Hopper. His paternal grandparents were Thomas Roberts and Sarah Joyce. He had two brothers and seven sisters, named Richard Polk, Thomas Jefferson, Martha Jane, Sarah Ann, Nancy Susan, Matilda Frances, Eliza Virginia, Lucy Jane and Mariah Elizabeth. He was the third youngest of the ten children. He died at the age of 80 in 1929 in Stoneville, Rockingham Co, NC. He was buried in Stoneville Cemetery, Stoneville, Rockingham Co, NC.2 2 General Notes
