Mary Jane Roberts 
Mary Jane was born on February 14th, 1845 in Rockingham Co, NC.1 Mary Jane's father was James Ellis Roberts and her mother was Mary Webster. Her paternal grandparents were Martin Roberts and Elizabeth Gilliland. She had a sister named Ann Elizabeth. She was the younger of the two children. She had six half-brothers and four half-sisters, named Richard M., James Henry, Samuel Ayers, William Franklin, Andrew Jackson, Walter, Margaret Malinda, Sarah M., Gillie Virginia and Susan Frances.1 General Notes
