James M. Roberts 
James M. was born in 1840 in Rockingham Co, NC.1 James M.'s father was John R. Roberts and his mother was Jane Unknown. His paternal grandparents were Josiah Roberts and Mary Angelia Unknown. He had five brothers and three sisters, named William D., Arsenic, Martin M., Samuel, John R., Mary E., Lucetta J. and Harriett. He was the fourth oldest of the nine children. He died at the age of 60 in 1900 in Rockingham Co, NC.1 General Notes
