Nancy Ellen was born on February 7th, 1858 in Texas, USA. Nancy Ellen's father was George Younger McKinney and her mother was Nancy Akin. Her maternal grandparents were William (Bill) Collin Akin and Rebecca (Becky) McKinney. She had six brothers and four sisters, named William Daniel, Collin Milam, James Carroll, George Alexander, Thomas Ashley, Benjamin Franklin, Sarah Elizabeth, Peggy, Laura Sarilda and Mary Susan.
