Collin Milam was born on March 26th, 1844 in Red River Co, Texas, USA. Collin Milam's father was George Younger McKinney and his mother was Nancy Akin. His maternal grandparents were William (Bill) Collin Akin and Rebecca (Becky) McKinney. He had five brothers and five sisters, named William Daniel, James Carroll, George Alexander, Thomas Ashley, Benjamin Franklin, Sarah Elizabeth, Peggy, Laura Sarilda, Mary Susan and Nancy Ellen. He was the third oldest of the eleven children. He died due to died while a prisoner at the federal prison alton, crawford Co, illiniois at the age of 20 in 1864 in Alton, Crawford Co, Illinois, USA.-
