Samuel Garrett Knight 
Samuel Garrett was born in December 1858 in Rockingham Co, NC. Samuel Garrett's father was John C. Knight and his mother was Elizabeth Roberts. His maternal grandparents were Martin Roberts and Elizabeth Gilliland. He had three brothers and four sisters, named Martin Roberts, Thomas Benton, Emory Calvin, Elizabeth Janet, Mary Demaris Matilda, Dora and Susanna. He was the third youngest of the eight children. He died at the age of 83 on December 6th, 1941 in Polk Co, NC.General Notes
