Alexander Kerr 
Alexander was born in 1767 in Augusta County, Virginia.1 Alexander's father was James Kerr and his mother was Jane Robertson. His paternal grandparents were James Kerr and Martha Ball; his maternal grandparents were James Robertson and Rebecca Royston. He had four brothers and three sisters, named James, John, Nathaniel, Nathaniel, Betsy, Peggy and Jane. He was the third oldest of the eight children.-
