Ruth J. Goodnight

Ruth J. was born in 1831 in Muhlenburg Co. KY.¹ Ruth J.'s father was John D. Goodnight and her mother was Frances Pond Childress. Her paternal grandparents were Edward Goodnight and Sarah "Sally" Dye. She had five brothers and four sisters, named Joshua C., Edward, Presley Harrison, James Thomas, William Henry, Dulcena Pendleton, Sarah Ann, Lucinda and Mary Margaret. She was the oldest of the ten children.
