Lucinda Goodnight

Lucinda was born in 1841.¹ Lucinda's father was John D. Goodnight and her mother was Frances Pond Childress. Her paternal grandparents were Edward Goodnight and Sarah "Sally" Dye. She had five brothers and four sisters, named Joshua C., Edward, Presley Harrison, James Thomas, William Henry, Ruth J., Dulcena Pendleton, Sarah Ann and Mary Margaret. She was the fourth youngest of the ten children.
