Dulcena Pendleton was born on March 17th, 1835 in Moleno MO.1 Dulcena Pendleton's father was John D. Goodnight and her mother was Frances Pond Childress. Her paternal grandparents were Edward Goodnight and Sarah "Sally" Dye. She had five brothers and four sisters, named Joshua C., Edward, Presley Harrison, James Thomas, William Henry, Ruth J., Sarah Ann, Lucinda and Mary Margaret.
