Susan P was born in 1832 in Barren, Kentucky, United States. Susan P's father was Bartlett Foster and her mother was Susanna Higdon. Her paternal grandparents were James Parish Foster and Martha (Patsy) HUMPHREY. She had five brothers and two sisters, named Joseph H, James Ward, Holeman Rice, A R, Elmore P, Elizabeth Ann and Mary Jane. She was the youngest of the eight children. She died at the age of 38 in 1870.-
