Holeman Rice was born on January 14th, 1820 in Mecer County, Kentucky, United States.1 Holeman Rice's father was Bartlett Foster and his mother was Susanna Higdon. His paternal grandparents were James Parish Foster and Martha (Patsy) HUMPHREY. He had four brothers and three sisters, named Joseph H, James Ward, A R, Elmore P, Elizabeth Ann, Mary Jane and Susan P. He was the fourth oldest of the eight children. He died at the age of 44 on May 13th, 1864 in Barren, Kentucky, USA.-
