Bessie Alma Atkins 
Bessie Alma was born on January 19th, 1892 in Rockingham Co, NC. Bessie Alma's father was Jim and her mother was Katherine Sewell Trent. Her maternal grandparents were James Garrett Trent and Matilda Frances Roberts. She had two brothers and five sisters, named Roy Herbert, Walter Herman, Lillian Matherson, Kate Earlene, Anna Henry, Lucy Ola and Mrytle Goode. She was the oldest of the eight children. She died at the age of 80 on December 29th, 1972.General Notes
