Willis, known as Willie or Willis; Papa Allen, was born on September 24th, 1875 in Texas, USA.  Willie or Willis; Papa Allen's father was James Jefferson (Jim) Allen and his mother was Martha Christina (Mattie) Akin.  His maternal grandparents were Collin McKinney Akin and Lucinda Frances Pinkerton. He had five brothers and four sisters, named James Dabney, Davy, Fred, James Jefferson, M G, Leta, Cornelia, Martha Lucinda and Mary Roena.  He died at the age of 69 on October 18th, 1944 in Hooks, Bowie Co, Texas, USA.
