Lillie B. was born on January 9th, 1892 in Jefferson Co., GA.¹ Lillie B.'s father was John Eli Watkins and her mother was Isabella Drucilla Wilson. Her paternal grandparents were Silas Watkins and Celia Fokes; her maternal grandparents were Eli Wesley Wilson and Sarah Jane Davis. She had five brothers and six sisters, named Charles H., John Wesley, George A., Alphus W., Fred S., Vienna Elizabeth, Elizabeth Louella, Estella, Fannie Jane, Mary Lou and Martha V.. She was the fourth youngest of the twelve children.¹
