Alphus W. Watkins

Alphus W. was born on November 7th, 1887 in Jefferson Co., GA.¹ Alphus W.'s father was John Eli Watkins and his mother was Isabella Drucilla Wilson. His paternal grandparents were Silas Watkins and Celia Fokes; his maternal grandparents were Eli Wesley Wilson and Sarah Jane Davis. He had four brothers and seven sisters, named Charles H., John Wesley, George A., Fred S., Vienna Elizabeth, Elizabeth Louella, Estella, Lillie B., Fannie Jane, Mary Lou and Martha V.. He was the sixth youngest of the twelve children. He died at the age of 83 on June 17th, 1971 in GA.¹
