Fred S. was born on December 9th, 1889 in Jefferson Co., GA.1 Fred S.'s father was John Eli Watkins and his mother was Isabella Drucilla Wilson. His paternal grandparents were Silas Watkins and Celia Fokes; his maternal grandparents were Eli Wesley Wilson and Sarah Jane Davis. He had four brothers and seven sisters, named Charles H., John Wesley, George A., Alphus W., Vienna Elizabeth, Elizabeth Louella, Estella, Lillie B., Fannie Jane, Mary Lou and Martha V.. He was the fifth youngest of the twelve children. He died at the age of 36 on February 19th, 1926 in Jefferson Co., GA.1 General Notes
