Peter Van Alstyne

Peter was born about 1702 and his baptism took place on August 2nd, 1702 in Albany, Rensselaer, NY.¹   Peter's father was Abraham Jans Van Alstyne and his mother was Maritje Tewisse Van Deusen.  His paternal grandparents were Jan Martense Van Alstyne and Dirckje Harmense. He had three sisters named Dirkje, Antje and Annatje.  He was the youngest of the four children. He had two half-brothers and two half-sisters, named Thomas, Johannes, Catherine and Maritie.¹
