Abraham Jans was born about 1650 in Meppel Drenthe, Holland.1   Abraham Jans' father was Jan Martense Van Alstyne and his mother was Dirckje Harmense.  He was an only child.  He died on October 16th, 1703 in Kinderhook, Columbia, NY.1
