James Douglas Starke

James Douglas was born on March 21st, 1820 in Fairfield Co., SC.¹   James Douglas' father was Thomas Starke and his mother was Margaret Evans Larkin Rochelle.  His maternal grandparents were James Rochelle and Margaret Evans. He had six brothers and six sisters, named Thomas James, James, John Williams, Douglas, William, Reuben H., Martha Peay, Sarah, Margaret L. E., Sarah E., Charlotte Jane and Arabelle Cynthia.  He was the fifth oldest of the thirteen children.  He died at the age of 83 on June 14th, 1903 in Gainsville, Hall Co., GA.¹
