John Ludvig Valentine Rickert 
John Ludvig Valentine was born on January 5th, 1889 in Bissell, Colfax Co, Nebraska.1 John Ludvig Valentine's father was John Ludvig (Rickers) Rickert and his mother was Catherine Elizabeth Heibel. His paternal grandparents were John Johann Rickers and Anna Katherine Borchers; his maternal grandparents were Valentine (Heupbel) Heibel and Angelika "Anna" "Gela" Reitz. He had a brother and six sisters, named Carl Oscar, Bertha, Clara, Martha Catherine, Anna Louise, Maria "Mary" Catherine and Kate. He was the second youngest of the eight children. He died due to Cirrhosis/liver at the age of 72 on May 7th, 1961 in Rochester, Minnesota.1 -
