Carl Oscar Rickert 
Carl Oscar was born on March 9th, 1883 in Colfax Co, Nebraska.1 Carl Oscar's father was John Ludvig (Rickers) Rickert and his mother was Catherine Elizabeth Heibel. His paternal grandparents were John Johann Rickers and Anna Katherine Borchers; his maternal grandparents were Valentine (Heupbel) Heibel and Angelika "Anna" "Gela" Reitz. He had a brother and six sisters, named John Ludvig Valentine, Bertha, Clara, Martha Catherine, Anna Louise, Maria "Mary" Catherine and Kate. He was the fourth youngest of the eight children. He died due to Car/train accident at the age of 29 on October 29th, 1912 in Richland, Nebraska.1 -
